Part 5: The fish were added. The resolution of the camera makes them hard to see. Once they were added, I covered the lip with rocks and added mulch. Credit to @bbswagattack @themeat @seandagahd @yourboiii-john for not only spreading mulch in my garden (which was not a lot of work), but the entire yard (was was a decent amount of work). Part 4. In this photo, I have done nothing, except to let nature take her course. The hostas grew and so did the flowers. The lip of the box is mostly covered (the reason why it hasn’t been covered already is because I was using the lid to keep mosquitos out). I also added cover plants to the side bed.
-
Part 3. Added more hostas, which wilted a tad, rose campions (not a typo), and more rocks. Some topsoil was added for cosmetic effect. At this point, it is beginning to look more like a pond and less like a box in a hole, but not there yet.
-
Part 2. I stuck a box in the hole and filled it with water. Planted some narly hostas around it and some rocks to make a bed. The box was smaller than the hole, but because of a water pipe, was too tall to fit, so about an inch or 2 sticks out of the hole.

@admin I challenge you to untangle this
Np Joey (aka Dora) enjoy your large piles of mulch 😂
Remember to take the fish out, @themeat
